Wait, what?

More in particular it’s a hybrid of a creative Co-Lead with a black belt in marketing, a community builder with passion for events and partnerships, we can even say a brand designer.  All of this with the heart and the soul of a DO-er.

This is Maternity Cover position as our current Voice [aka the person writing this text] is going to be absent for 1-1,5-2 years [who knows!] But worry not, if we like you and you like us, and you wish to stay in the long run, there's plenty of things cooking in the pot and our minds are set on expanding the team.

Back on track - you’ll be in charge of all our Sofia online [and offline] communication, PR and marketing activites, advise us on product and service development, keep an eye out on what's happening in the coworking market and make sure our community is connected, collaborative and set up for growth within and out of the Puzl walls.

You’ll be working closely with your Co-Lead called the Navigator and with a Content Creator to make sure we keep out existing presence and connections in the local IT ecosystem. And further - make them even stronger.

To succeed in this role, you should be able to think creatively and think in solutions rather than theory. We believe in unconventional marketing, the power of the community, partnerships and collaboration - that’s why you’ll probably not run paid advertisement campaigns on Facebook while you are at Puzl. You’ll have to find much better tools and stories with us that’ll help us stand out from the rest.

Ah, right! We should probably explain. In short, we're a group of enthusiastic humans who are building IT-only coworking spaces for IT humans across CEE. We started 8 years ago with 70 members. Now we are more than 1,000 and freshly expanding to Budapest this year.

Who you are

  • An experienced professional with 3+ years of relevant experience, 1+ years of team lead experience
  • That’d be pretty cool for a start!
  • Be fully capable of understanding the coworking business and how the startup and ecosystem functions so you can help us reach the next level.
  • So that you can understand how to translate information into stories.
  • That means you have exceptional storytelling skills.
  • You have a natural ease of building and sustaining communities.
  • Marketing is rather a true passion than a profession of yours.
  • You have business development skills, aka you're an opportunist.
  • You act as a business owner in your field.
  • You are a self-starter. Like, really, You don't sit and wait for someone to tell you what to do.
  • This means you can execute an idea from A to Z.
  • You are a strategic thinker and a natural leader.
  • Organized and creative at the same time.
  • Have a keen eye for design.
  • Fully competent in modern-day communication platforms and marketing tools.  
  • And posessing technical skills relevant to the position - the base of Photoshop, Illustrator, image editing, MailChimp, etc.
  • Bonus points if you are outgoing, extroverted and public speaking doesn't scare you.

What you will do

  • Engage in community management activities. Also initiate them.
  • Lead coworking sales and business development outreach to find potential prospects.
  • Collaborate with current partners for the organization of events and meetups. Find new partners.
  • Lead and develop internal community engagement events and initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with your Co-Lead - the Sofia Navigator to negotiate the extension of the member lease contracts.
  • Collaborate closely and supervise the Content Creator / Social Media Specialist.
  • Take over the maintenance and further growth of the Sofia Partner Pack.
